Sacred furnishings not only complement the words, music and actions of liturgy, they purposely lead us to closer union with God. Each element within the worship space is to play a dynamic role of enriching devotion, providing insight and encouraging spiritual strength.

Wood, stone, metal and glass are molded and sculpted by artistic grace into sacred furnishings and art. In stillness they move us. In silence they speak gently to our hearts. The humility and awe they inspire fosters our own re-molding and re-sculpture.

Art must make perceptible, and as far as possible attractive, the world of the spirit, of the invisible, of God.

Pope John Paul II
